The residents...

A CHSLD provides a living environment for people who, because of their loss of autonomy, can no longer remain in their own homes. Some people are lucid, but physically dependent. Others have preserved their mobility, but are cognitively impaired.

Come take part in an activity at a CHSLD in the Eastern Townships, to the delight of the residents!

Targeted organizations

  • Childcare centre (CPE)
  • Community organization
  • Educational institutions
  • Sport, social, and artistic associations

Activity options

  • Up to $1,000 per organization may be reimbursed for expenses incurred in carrying out activities*.
  • More than one activity may be submitted (maximum $1,000 reimbursement per organization).
  • All activities that do not require funding and that meet the selection criteria (see below) may be carried out.

* Expenses claimed must be related to the activity.  They cannot be used to purchase permanent equipment not dedicated to the activity.  Examples of reimbursable expenses: transportation to and from the center, crafts materials, souvenirs or cards for guests, etc.

A selection committee, including residents and their caregivers, will analyze all submitted activities.
