- Urgent (less than 24 hours) or semi-urgent (24 to 48 hours) collection requested by a prescriber
- Special tests (e.g., glucose challenge test, cortisol, venous blood gases);
- Patients without Internet access, who require assistance, or who have special needs (functional or cognitive limitations).
Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (exept on holidays).

Attention
- No appointment required to bring a sample taken home
- There is a separate collection service for :
- patients undergoing active treatment for cancer;
- pregnant woman.
Walk-in service
Appointments are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
If there is no availability, the person will be invited to make an appointment or return at another time when the walk-in service is available.

Some samples require an appointment or specific preparations (e.g., fasting). Read your physician's request attentively.
Rules to follow during your appointment at the collection centre
- You should arrive only 5 minutes before your appointment.
- Wearing a face covering (handcrafted mask) is mandatory.
- Have your appointment confirmation number, provincial health-insurance card, and prescription with you (if your doctor has given you a paper copy).
- You may not be accompanied unless the person is required for medical or assistance reasons (minor, cognitive impairment, mobility aid, etc.).
ATTENTION: if you have a fever or cough, cancel your appointment online or by telephone. You can call 819-565-4845 or toll-free at 1-833-255-1995 to be referred to a collection centre for users with one or more COVID-19 symptoms or who have COVID-19.
Mandatory information for prescriptions
To ensure the reliability and timeliness of results, the following information must be provided on your prescription.
- Your first and last name
- Your health card number
- The first and last name of the prescriber
- The license number of the prescriber
- The signature of the prescriber* and the date of the prescription
- The full address and telephone number of the place where results must be sent
- The first and last name of the physician who must receive a copy of your results (if any), their license number, and full address
- The clinical information relevant to the interpretation of results
- The tests ordered
Prescriptions that do not contain this information will be refused and the sample will not be taken.
Samples taken at home: Identification of your sample
Some samples are taken at home. Before taking your sample to the specimen collection centre, make sure the following information appears on the label.
- Your first and last name
- Your health card number
- The time and date the sample was taken;
- The type and site of the sample, when applicable (e.g.: throat, sputum, right ear, etc.)
Samples that do not contain that information will not be analyzed in the laboratory.
