The instructions below apply from the date of the last contact with the sick person indicated in the letter, email or text message you received.

Should I self-isolate? NO
- You can continue your activities unless you have COVID-19 symptoms.
- Avoid contact with people who are particularly vulnerable to COVID-19 for 10 days (e.g., the elderly, people with chronic illnesses or weak immune systems).
Should I get tested? YES
- Get tested today, even if you have no symptoms.
- Get a second test eight days after your last contact with the COVID-19 case.
- Testing is not required if you tested positive for COVID-19 within the last 6 months.
- Special screening instructions may apply if you have worked in a health-care setting where there were cases of COVID-19.
- Contact your employer for instructions.

How long should I watch for new symptoms?
- Monitor your symptoms for 14 days after your last contact with the sick person.
- If you have any symptoms during this period:
- Complete the self-assessment tool and follow the recommendations.
- Contact your employer for instructions.
