Coronavirus | COVID-19
COVID-19 is an infectious disease that affects the respiratory tract. It is caused by the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2.
Elderly and vulnerable people are more likely to develop a severe form of the disease. Vaccination remains the best way to protect yourself and others.
Symptoms and screening
If you have symptoms:
Take steps to limit the transmission of infectious respiratory diseases
PCR screening test: Certain priority clients have the opportunity to be tested free of charge at one of the screening centres (DSCs) in Estrie.
Rapid testing: Rapid tests are available to anyone at our local community service center or at our testing and vaccination centers during business hours.

Dépistage
- Test de dépistage par PCR : certaines clientèles jugées prioritaires ont la possibilité de passer un test gratuit dans l’un des Points de service locaux en Estrie.
- Test rapide : Les milieux de vie tels les RI, RPA, RNI, CHSLD privés, RTF, maisons de soins palliatifs et communautés religieuses peuvent demander des tests rapides en complétant le formulaire demande de tests rapides.
Vaccination
La vaccination demeure la meilleure façon de se protéger et de protéger les autres. Elle a pour but principal de réduire les complications, les hospitalisations et les décès liés à la COVID-19.
